Grade Level Chairs (K-5) serve a term of one (1) year under the supervision of the site administration. Grade Level Leads provide organizational leadership and support to all teachers within their grade level to ensure the grade-level team meets ambitious student achievement goals. They are consistently effective teachers with demonstrated strengths according to the TKES evaluation framework. Collaboration among teachers and administrators is critically important to a school’s culture. In addition to serving as a liaison between a school’s leadership team and teachers in their grade level, Grade Level Leads lead and coordinate the grade-level team’s meetings, organizational practices, parent communication, and grade-wide activities.
● 2-3 years working in the elementary setting.
● Experience working in inclusive classrooms across at the elementary level.
● Interpreting IEPs and BIPs to ensure learning is maximized.

Miles Ahead Charter School is a tuition-free, public charter school authorized by the State Charter Schools Commission (SCSC) of Georgia serving grades K-4 in the 2022-2023 academic year. As an SCSC authorized school located in Austell, Miles Ahead operates as a Local Educational Authority (LEA) and has a statewide attendance zone. ● Must be certified with a BT provisional or professional certificate by GAPSC.
● 2 years of experience in leading,collaborative planning, and developing
professional development.
● Facilitates the implementation of the GSE State Standards.
● Exemplifies research-based instructional strategies.
● Promotes the use of district core curriculum and pacing guides.
● Attends, implements, and provides site and district professional development for
their site.
● Creates grade level meeting agendas in collaboration with the administration.
● Leads grade level meetings.
● Records and shares meeting notes with site administration and grade level
teams.
● Runs data reports after assessments and leads analysis discussions with the grade
level team.
● Attends Check in team meetings with the Manager of Academic and Scholar
Support.
● Attend Grade level Bi weekly meetings with the Director of Academic and
Culture.
● Collaborates with operation team members and resource staff to ensure that
the grade level team has necessary supplies and materials to enhance
instruction.
● Creates common formative assessments in collaboration with grade level and
district teams.
● Works well with others and supports the site and district vision, mission, and goals.
● Other duties as assigned by administration.
● Clean and maintain the grade level resource space.
