MACS is a state commissioned charter school, meaning that we have a statewide attendance zone. Any scholar in grades K-6th grade, living in any Georgia county is welcome to apply to MACS for the 2026-2027 school year.
Any scholar applying for a Kindergarten seat for the 26/27 school year must be 5 years old by September 1st, 2026. Any scholar applying for a 1st grade seat for the 26/27 school year must be 6 years old September 1st, 2026. There is no exception to this policy.

  • Paper-based – You may print the application via our website, complete all sections,

  • Parent/Guardian ID
  • Birth Certificate
  • Proof of Residence
  • Social Security Card

We are required by the GA Dept. of Education to verify the date of birth as part of the eligibility process for enrollment.

  • The Georgia Department of Education generates a GTID for all public school scholars. This is the identification number that is used for all school-related documents and reporting. If your child has never been enrolled in a Georgia public pre-k or public school we will request the social security number as this is what allows this alternate ID to be generated.
  • No child will be denied enrollment or attendance to MACS for declining to provide an ss card. Families may waive the requirement to provide an ss card.
  • The following documents are acceptable proofs of residence:
    • Mortgage/Lease Statement
    • GA Power or Electric Bill
    • Vehicle Registration
    • Water or Sewage Bill
    • Renter’s Insurance
    • W2/Tax Document
  • The document must include the name of the enrolling parent/guardian & the address on the enrollment application.
Yes. We will ask that you submit documentation for the address that you are currently residing in along with a notarized affidavit of residency.
  • Once your scholar has been offered a seat, you have exactly 5 business days from the date of your offer to accept/decline the seat.
  • Should you neglect to accept the seat your scholar will be placed on the waitlist.
  • Should you choose to decline the seat, your scholar’s application will be withdrawn.
  • Should you choose to accept the seat within 5 business days of the offer, you can begin completing your registration requirements. Registration must be completed by the deadline of June 30th.
  • Once a seat has been offered & accepted, families are then required to submit the following registration documentation by June 30th:
    • Medical documents (Form 3300 & Form 3231)
    • Special Services Info (504, IEP’s, etc.)
    • Student Health Form
    • Technology Acceptable Use Form
    • Media Release Home Language Survey
    • Housing Questionnaire
  • Medical exemption authorized by a medical doctor. This must be indicated on Form 3231, a letter is not sufficient. Medical exemptions must be kept on file, are valid for one year, and may be reissued from year to year until a physician determines immunizations can be completed.
  • Conflict with religious beliefs verified by parents’/legal guardians’ sworn affidavit. The only affidavit that may be used to register a religious objection to required vaccinations is DPH Form 2208. The form must be notarized and can be accessed on our school website or by emailing: enroll@milesaheadcharter.org

There are no exceptions to Form 3300. All scholars are required to submit Form 3300.

We strongly encourage you to try to set your appointments ahead of the deadline. In order to be considered for an extension, we require documentation of a confirmed/scheduled upcoming appointment.

Yes. Scholars that have siblings that are currently enrolled are given preference.

Unfortunately, we do not observe sibling priority for scholars that are not currently enrolled. There is a possibility that you may have one or more scholars on the waitlist.

No. Once your scholar is officially enrolled, they will remain in an enrolled status unless they are withdrawn by their parent/guardian.

MACS will eventually grow to K-8th grade, however for the 2026-2027 school year, we will only serve K-6th grade.
